Using the marketplace

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your credentials secure and provide accurate information. AlugarQuarto helps people discover rooms and contact landlords. Any tenancy agreement is made directly between those parties. We do not collect rent or deposits in this version.

Listing a room

Only advertise accommodation you are authorised to offer. State the full rent, deposit, bill arrangements and availability accurately. Use your own or properly licensed photos. New listings and changes require moderation before appearing in search. Moderation is a content review, not a guarantee of identity, ownership, suitability or legal compliance.

Landlord subscriptions and free offers

All room listings are free during early access, even after a saved trial or promotional period ends. There are no retrospective early-access charges. When paid plans are enabled, each landlord must activate their subscription and agree to recurring charges at Stripe Checkout. Changing an administrator setting does not authorise a payment. Each landlord’s dashboard shows the pricing and promotional records saved for their account. New prices and promotional durations apply to future landlord registrations. An accepted promotional free period continues until its end date even if the offer closes to new registrations. Operators may grant a Free exemption without an expiry date. Changing an exempt account to Paid applies the current standard price and trial; selecting Paid again preserves its existing terms. A plan assignment is not a payment authorisation.

Billing, cancellation and refunds

Your dashboard and checkout show your assigned price, billing interval and remaining free period before you agree to pay. A paid subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Open your dashboard and choose “Manage payments / cancel” to cancel future renewals, update your card or view payment invoices. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with access continuing until that date. Removing a listing does not cancel the subscription. A Free exemption cancels future subscription collection; switching back to Paid requires a new checkout agreement.

If your free or paid access expires, approved listings are hidden from public search until access is restored. Your saved listings and existing conversations remain accessible to you. Failed payments may be retried by Stripe; your dashboard shows when payment needs attention.

There are no retrospective charges for free early access. To request a refund or dispute a fee, contact us at the email above with the payment reference; never send full card details. We assess refunds individually and honour mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable withdrawal rights. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund an earlier payment. Stripe payment receipts do not replace any tax invoice we are required to issue.

Community rules

Fraud, harassment, discriminatory listings, spam, impersonation and unlawful content are prohibited. Do not publish other people’s private information. We may remove listings that breach these rules. You can report content or appeal a moderation decision by contacting us.

Viewings and payments

Verify the property and the person offering it, arrange a viewing and review the proposed agreement before sending money. Room rents are shown as monthly amounts in euros. Confirm all additional charges directly with the landlord.

Ending your use

You may remove your listings and request account closure. Removing a listing currently deletes its associated conversations from this service, so export any records you need first. Contact us for support or complaints. These terms do not limit mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
